Youth Conservation Corp Lead staff person to help plan projects and provide oversight to youth conservation corp members. Pay range $11.13 - $17.00 per hour, part-time/seasonal.

Conservation Corp Members enjoy learning about nature and improving natural areas of vegetation? This opportunity may be for you! One day per week for 3 hours lasting for 8 to 11 weeks. Pay of $11.13 per hour, seasonal positions. 

Nature Center Assistant(s) to welcome area visitors to the Houston Nature Center and perform facility cleaning duties. Pay range $11.13 - $11.40 per hour part-time year-round employment.  

Summer Recreation Student Staff Want to provide supervision of sports, games, craft and other various youth activities while mentoring young folks? This job may be for you. Gain valuable work experience by joining our team! Pay of $11.13 per hour, seasonal.

2025 Community Garden Interest Form

There will be a street and utility project taking place in Houston in 2025. To learn more about this project, click on the Project tab and the link titled "2025 street & Utility Improvements".

City Compost Pile: The city compost pile has been relocated across the street to the east of its previous location on North Sheridan. Signs have been posted. This compost pile is available for city resident's grass clippings and leaf litter.  

City Brush Site: The brush site is available to accept resident woody materials by appointment.
